The Honey & Pollination Center at the Robert Mondavi Insititute is having it's second World of Honey seminar tasting on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 6:30PM - 8:00PM. Attendees will experience four exotic international honeys: stingless bee honey from Brazil, Coffee blossom from Guatemala, Viper’s Bugloss from New Zealand, and Chestnut Honey from France. The tasting will be led by Amina Harris, Director of the Honey and Pollination Center. Robbin Thorp, Distinguished Professor Emeritus, Department of Entomology, UCD will open with a short lecture and powerpoint on native and stingless bees.

Student tickets are ONLY $12.50, $25 for UCD Affiliates, and $30 for the general public.

Did you know? Stingless bees were raised by the Mayans for honey. Today, stingless bee honey production is very low.
